Job Description
Position Description:
Oversee programming for justice services supporting victims of domestic or sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. Supervise Justice Services staff. Collaborate with law enforcement and courthouses to maintain safety for clients. Provide direct services to clients in crisis. Provide education and training for community members. Coordinate county-wide Lethality Assessment Program.WHO WE ARE

- Equivalent combination of four years' relevant experience and/or education in areas such as advocacy or human services
- Possess resiliency, critical thinking and trauma-sensitive skills to provide services effectively in stressful, crisis situations
- Ability to use computer with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database entry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual employees may be eligible for additional pay
- Experience managing others .
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- Personal auto insurance with personal liability minimum of Bodily Injury $100,000 each person, $300,000 each occurrence
- Must successfully pass a Background and Abuse Check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain confidential information concerning the Agency, clients, and program organizational plans, policies, and strategies with an understanding that such information will not be disclosed within the Agency, or outside of the Agency. Promote Agency in positive manner.
- Be a leader in organization, lead by example, and provide support to big picture of organization.
- Encourage teamwork by modeling cooperative interaction with colleagues, volunteers, and community members. Use good interpersonal & conflict resolution skills.
- Establish and maintain frequent, positive communication with team members, share information willingly, and accept and provide feedback in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
- Supervise advocate staff, including formal and informal supervision.
- Understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, sex trafficking, and oppression.
- Understanding of legal and civil rights for victims.
- Work effectively with crisis situations using a trauma-informed approach.
- Exercise patience and compassion with clients, co-workers, and community members.
- Set and maintain limits, and prioritize workload. Work independently, and be highly motivated.
- Provide education and training to peers and community members as assigned.
- Work with community partners to better provide wraparound services in our community.
- Participate in public speaking and community outreach efforts.
- Provide narrative and data for grant and other reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain punctual, consistent attendance.
- Participate in sexual assault hospital response on-call rotation.
- Provide transportation as needed to clients.
- Attend Agency and community trainings and meetings as assigned.
- Be flexible and willing to meet Agency needs.
