Before & After School Program Lead Sweet Pea Learning Center Sweet Pea Learning Center is looking for an energetic, dependable, and highly independent Before & After School Program Lead to run our school-age program for children ages 5-10 years old . We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with elementary-age children and can create a fun, positive, structured environment where students are excited to spend their mornings, afternoons, and summers.
Schedule Monday-Friday Morning Program:
5:45 AM-9:00
AM Afternoon Program:
3:15 PM-6:00 PM This position will transition to full-time hours during the summer while leading our school-age summer camp program. What You'll Do As the Program Lead, you will be responsible for independently managing the day-to-day operations of the before and after school program, including: Creating a welcoming, positive, and engaging environment for students ages 5-10 Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, crafts, games, and enrichment opportunities Planning organized morning and afternoon routines Delegating responsibilities and providing direction to classroom aides Maintaining classroom expectations, routines, and positive behavior management Communicating professionally with families and Sweet Pea leadership Keeping the program organized, prepared, and running smoothly each day Independently identifying what needs to be done and taking initiative without requiring constant direction Planning and leading weekly themed summer camps , including activities, projects, games, and special experiences based around each week's theme Creating a summer environment that is active, creative, engaging, and FUN! Our Ideal Candidate We would love to find someone who is: Extremely positive, energetic, and encouraging Confident working independently and making day-to-day program decisions Organized and able to plan ahead Comfortable leading and delegating to other staff members Creative and excited about developing activities for school-age children Dependable and able to consistently work the early-morning and afternoon schedule Experienced working with children, preferably elementary or school-age students Able to maintain structure while still creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere A strong communicator with both children and adults Someone who genuinely enjoys being around kids and participating in their activities This is an excellent position for someone who wants ownership over their program rather than simply being another classroom staff member. We want our Program Lead to bring their own creativity, personality, ideas, and enthusiasm to Sweet Pea while creating an incredible before-school, after-school, and summer experience for our students. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
