Building Substitute - 21st Century After-School Program Chester Charter Scholars Academy Job Overview Chester Charter Scholars Academy is seeking a dependable and flexible Building Substitute to support our 21st Century After-School Program . The Building Substitute will be available each program day to step into classrooms or activities when a regularly scheduled after-school staff member is absent. When substitute coverage is not needed, the Building Substitute will assist with student supervision, homework support, enrichment activities, dismissal, and other program needs. This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable working with different age groups, and can adapt easily to a variety of classroom and activity settings. Responsibilities Provide substitute coverage for absent 21st Century program staff Supervise students in a safe, positive, and structured environment Follow lesson plans or activity plans provided by program staff Assist students with homework and academic activities Support enrichment activities such as art, sports, cooking, science, theater, and other program offerings Help maintain appropriate student behavior and reinforce program expectations Assist with student transitions, attendance, dismissal, and other daily program routines Work collaboratively with teachers, instructors, and program leadership Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed within the after-school program Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with school-age children preferred Dependable, patient, and comfortable managing groups of students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly to changing assignments Must be able to complete all required Pennsylvania school clearances Schedule Monday through Thursday After school through approximately 3:00pm - 5:15pm To apply, please send your resume to jobs@ccsascholars.org
