Job Description

The Program Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily programming for the clients of the Options Department. This includes directing a variety of cross-disciplinary services for clients inclusive of progress notes, ISP's/assessments, goal plans, etc. as outlined below for the individuals assigned. This position coordinates with Operations to maintain daily operations and programming. This position is primarily 1st shift. Some 2nd shift hours can be required. Base pay rate, $22.51/hour. Pay rate based upon experience. The Program Specialist must have one of the following groups of qualifications: Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, OR, A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism; OR, An associate's degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism. Supervisory experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience in management, policy development and with state regulatory bodies. ACRE certification is required after a specified timeframe as approved by the Director.
