Advanced-Level Opportunity The successful MAT Program Specialist can perform assigned responsibilities independently and is recognized as a knowledgeable resource when challenging questions arise regarding MAT services, counseling, and case management. Key Responsibilities Assess reentrants' psychosocial strengths, treatment needs, eligibility for services, and potential barriers to recovery. Coordinate MAT referrals and schedule community appointments for medication, counseling, and treatment. Provide social work, counseling, and case-management services consistent with individual treatment plans. Meet with reentrants following positive drug screens and make appropriate treatment referrals. Document contacts, complete required GPRA assessments, and maintain accurate program tracking records. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field. Knowledge of professional social work, casework, counseling, and behavioral principles. Understanding of substance-use treatment, MAT services, behavioral health conditions, and community resources. Knowledge of HIPAA, state confidentiality requirements, and applicable DOC policies and procedures.
