Job Description
Life-Long Learning Coordinator - Part Time Come Live & Grow - Together! Living Branches, a system of three not-for-profit retirement communities in Montgomery and Bucks counties, is searching for a life-long learning coordinator for our in-house educational program, Living U. Living U offers a spring and fall semester of educational opportunities for residents and future residents of The Willows of Living Branches, Souderton Mennonite Homes, and Dock Woods. Course offerings are an exciting mix of lecture and hands-on classes which are organized and curated by the Living U curriculum council. The Life-Long Learning Coordinator is a part-time position that requires a person with exceptional interpersonal skills and an unrelenting focus on fulfilling the Living Branches mission: "Together, we empower older adults and families to lead lives of purpose and joy, guided by the Mennonite tradition of care and service to others."
Life-Long Learning Coordinator Overview:
- Develops, schedules, plans, organizes, coordinates and implements programs for Living U - the lifelong learning program at Living Branches
- Leads the Living U curriculum council, consisting of Living Branches residents, team members, and future residents. The curriculum council identifies course topics for the semester and potential instructors
- Oversees program operations. Develops, administers and monitors program budgets. Purchases/requisitions supplies and equipment. Collects program/service fees and maintains related financial records
- Coordinates facility preparation for programs/activities. Identifies program/activity needs. Schedules rooms and arranges or makes available materials and equipment. Schedules transportation in conjunction with the transportation coordinator
- Working in conjunction with the chief advancement officer and the communications manager, develops the marketing plan for Living U and the course catalog for each semester
- Compiles and evaluates program/service participation data. Prepares monthly reports. Presents program information at departmental and community meetings. Conducts customer satisfaction and participation surveys
- Acts as liaison between participants/advocacy groups/outside agencies and programs.
- Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Experience working with senior adults (preferred)
