  • various locations Position Summary The Youth Program Coordinator develops and performs daily operations of school-day enrichment, summer camp and after-school programming within Casa San Jose.
This role focuses on supporting students' academic success, social-emotional development, and overall well-being through structured, engaging, and inclusive programming. The Coordinator works closely with school staff, families, and community partners to ensure high-quality programming aligned with educational goals.
Responsibilities:
Plan, and implement after-school, summer camp and school-day enrichment programs Design and implement enrichment activities (arts, STEM, recreation, life skills) Coordinate volunteers and collaborators as needed Support partnerships with school administrators, teachers, and counselors Implement program procedures to ensure compliance with school policies and Casa San Jose's program standards Monitor student attendance, engagement, and progress; maintain accurate records Support positive youth development and manage student behavior using trauma informed care practices. Communicate regularly with families regarding student participation and progress Assist with program budgeting, supplies, and grant reporting requirements Organize special events, field trips, and family engagement activities Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants Complete reports and other documentation as required Work as a team to support the programming and activities of the department Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in youth programming, or 4 years of experience in a related field Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a 15-passenger van Bilingual ( English and Spanish), able to read and write in both languages Core Competencies Strong leadership and youth management experience Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; creative writing Ability to read, write and speak Spanish Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, etc. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other
