Job Description

The YMCA seeks an Assistant Director for Youth, Teen & Family to lead high-quality programs that support development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This role oversees program planning, staff supervision, safety and behavior management, and family engagement. The Assistant Director collaborates with community partners, manages budgets, tracks outcomes, and ensures alignment with Y core values. Ideal candidates bring youth programming experience, strong leadership, cultural humility, and a passion for fostering inclusive, positive experiences for participants of all ages and backgrounds. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate youth, teen, and family programs aligned with YMCA mission and standards. Supervise, train, and schedule staff and volunteers to ensure quality delivery and positive member experiences. Ensure participant safety, behavior management, and compliance with YMCA and regulatory policies. Develop relationships with families, schools, and community partners to support program growth and engagement. Monitor program budgets, enrollment, and outcomes; prepare reports and recommend improvements. Support outreach, marketing, and special events to increase participation and community impact.
