Career Rehabilitation Building Services (CRB Services) is seeking a Program Specialist to join our team. The Program Specialist plays an important role in ensuring individuals receive meaningful, person-centered services that support their goals, independence, and participation in the community. This position works closely with individuals, families, guardians, Supports Coordinators, direct-care staff, and other members of the individual's team to ensure services are implemented according to the individual's ISP, assessed needs, preferences, and desired outcomes. Program Specialist Responsibilities While serving as Program Specialist, this position will also be responsible for duties required under 55 Pa. Code § 2390.33 , including: Coordinating and completing required individual assessments. Participating in ISP development, reviews, and team meetings. Ensuring services and activities are consistent with each individual's ISP, assessed needs, preferences, and outcomes. Reviewing individual progress and documentation. Providing staff with the information and direction necessary to properly implement ISPs. Monitoring the implementation of individual plans and services. Maintaining communication with individuals, families, guardians, Supports Coordinators, and other team members. Ensuring required individual documentation is completed and maintained accurately. Supporting individual rights, choice, independence, dignity, and community participation. Identifying changes in an individual's needs and ensuring appropriate communication and follow-up. Assisting with the development and oversight of meaningful, person-centered programming. Supporting individuals in participating in vocational, recreational, educational, social, and community-based activities in accordance with their ISP. Supporting opportunities for individuals to develop skills, increase independence, and become more involved in their communities. Providing guidance and support to staff to promote consistent implementation of individual plans and services. Performing other duties related to the operation of the vocational training center and the needs of the individuals served. Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following qualification requirements under 55 Pa. Code § 2390.33 : Option 1: Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or another human services field. Option 2: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or another human services field, plus at least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities. Option 3: Associate's degree or completion of a 2-year program from an accredited college or university in one of the above fields, plus at least 3 years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities. Option 4: A qualifying license or certification by the State Board of Nurse Examiners, State Board of Physical Therapist Examiners, or the Committee on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification; or be a licensed psychologist or registered occupational therapist; plus at least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Experience in vocational services, employment services, day programs, or other community-based services. Knowledge of person-centered planning and ISP implementation. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals, families, guardians, staff, and other professionals. Reliable transportation and the ability to participate in community-based activities as needed. Schedule Full-Time | Salaried Position Monday-Friday The Program Specialist is expected to maintain flexibility to be present and attentive to program and individual needs outside of regular hours when needed.
