Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated QP - Peer Support Program Manager (must have CPSS certification) to lead and oversee peer support initiatives within our social services team. This salary 1099 role is vital in fostering empowering relationships, developing impactful programs, and ensuring high-quality support for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for social service excellence, strong leadership skills, and experience working with underserved communities to create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence program development, manage staff, and advance community-centered support services. Duties Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of peer support programs tailored for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. Supervise and mentor social service staff, including peer supporters, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community partners, and stakeholders to promote trust and collaborative engagement. Oversee program operations, including, documentation, reporting, and compliance with NC regulatory, accredidation, and agency requirements. Develop training materials and facilitate ongoing staff development to enhance skills in client communication, behavioral health support, and social services best practices. Manage program data using Microsoft Office/Google tools to track outcomes, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support plans that meet individual needs and promote independence. Facilitate 2 monthly meetings (1 virtual , 1 in office biweekly) Must be available to go to a members house is a staff member is out of town or sick Must be able to do treatment team meetings in person (every 60 days) Skills Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health conditions. Experienced with completing an initial and re-authorization Person Centered Plan with the member face to face Experienced on submiting an authorization in Availity Experience in crisis situations (though it won't be often; maybe 1x per year) Proven relationship management skills to foster trust with clients, families, staff, and community partners. Strong administrative experience including budgeting, documentation, compliance monitoring, and report writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Suite for data management and presentation purposes. Demonstrated supervisory experience in social services or related fields; capable of leading teams effectively. Expertise in program development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. Experience working with underserved communities; bilingual skills are highly valued to enhance communication across diverse populations. Leadership in social services administration with a focus on client-centered care and team management. Knowledge of social work principles, client communication strategies, and behavioral health interventions. You must have a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist Certificate Must be available Mon - Sat 6a-11pm (We are closed on Sundays only) 75% of the job is remote, the other 25% if when new members come in, when authorizations are due, and when you have to do the monthly meetings. Some months all you will be doing is the meeting so it balances out.
