Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist/Alumni Services Coordinator to join our team. This important role will provide support and guidance to individuals in recovery and help prevent relapse by helping them achieve stability and positive outcomes in all areas of their lives. Additionally, this role will implement all aspects of Maryville's Alumni Services program including event coordination, activity planning, and marketing duties. This position is Monday
- Friday 8:30am
- 4:30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday report to Westampton. Tuesday, and Thursday report to Voorhees. Responsibilities
- Increase access to evidence-based treatment
- Provide education, coaching, and support for clients
- Assist in the implementation of client recovery plans and collect relevant data
- Provide resources and referrals to community support services for clients Enroll clients into Alumni Services Program Plan, coordinate and execute a series of alumni engagement events Gather information and resources for alumni Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Specialist
- Strong understanding of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
- Excellent communication, active listening, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries with clients
- Empathetic and non-judgmental approach towards individuals seeking support Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
