Job Description

Position Summary The Director of Programs and Partnerships oversees all of the organization's Girl Scout programs, collaborating as necessary with experts in respective fields to ensure that a variety of programs are offered across the district. The position manages a team of Program Managers who are responsible for program development, delivery, quality control, and evaluation. The role serves as a key external face of program partnerships in the community. At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process. Put your passion into action with Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri! This position is full time with a competitive minimum annualized salary of $81,597 . Essential Job Duties Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of Council programs throughout Eastern Missouri. Manage the day-to-day workload and activities of the assigned team, ensuring that they are sufficiently qualified and trained to perform their duties to a high standard. Ensure programs align with organizational strategy, the national Girl Scout program portfolio, and the needs of girls across age levels, communities, and participation models. Oversee the planning and execution of major Council programs, events, and travel experiences, ensuring quality, appropriate staffing, and a positive participant experience. Ensure programs meet applicable safety requirements, funding commitments, organizational policies, and documentation standards. Establish the annual department budget and manage the day-to-day departmental expenses, reporting and explaining material variances. Use participation data, evaluation findings, and member feedback to set goals, measure results, and make improvements to the program portfolio. Complete all required documentation in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner. Promote a climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to staff, volunteers, members, and the general public. Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Child and Family Development, a related field or equivalent experience is required. Five (5) years of program design, delivery, and evaluation experience, including experience in supervising a team and in budget management. Valid state driver's license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong people management and leadership skills, with good active listening skills and the ability to effectively motivate people. Knowledge of budget management and development techniques and processes. Ability to manage partner relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, integrated financial systems, and other general office equipment. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage processes and meet deadlines. Strong strategic planning and goal-setting abilities. Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data. Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to speak and present confidently and credibly in public. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently within a strong teamwork philosophy toward common goals. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. Ability to travel throughout the jurisdiction to attend meetings and events during the day, evening, and/or weekend. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time operating a computer, including navigating websites, software platforms, spreadsheets and both electronic and paper documents. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier, and computer printer. Occasionally positions self to maintain files in file cabinets. May need to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds across office for various needs. The ability to observe details at close range and at a distance. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. Is required to drive/operate an automobile. Work Environment Constantly works in an indoor professional office environment. Exposed to moderate noise levels. Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct reporting responsibilities.
