Job Description

About Cadence 3 Cadence 3 is a woman-owned marketing, events, and content agency that builds strategy-led programs for discerning clients and some of the biggest brands in technology. We do not measure success by what we produced, where we showed up, or how many tasks were completed. We measure success by the impact and outcomes we help our clients achieve. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, marketing, customer experience, content, and execution. We build brands, campaigns, programs, and experiences that create connection, drive engagement, support sales and marketing goals, and turn important moments into momentum. We are hiring for the company we are building with an eye to where the industry and our clients are going. We pride ourselves on being early adopters, focusing on staying ahead of attendee and industry trends, and always innovating. The bar is high. The work is fast, detailed, and often complex. Our clients expect clarity, judgment, polish, ownership, and follow-through. In return, Cadence 3 offers meaningful work, strong benefits, remote flexibility, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to help shape the next stage of a growing agency. Role Overview Cadence 3 is hiring a Director of Strategic Accounts to help lead and grow strategic client relationships across our managed services business. This role is for someone who can operate as a trusted client partner, strategic advisor, and delivery leader. You will help translate client goals into clear plans, align internal teams around outcomes, manage complex programs, and ensure our clients experience Cadence 3 as a high-value strategic partner, not a task-based execution vendor. This is a senior client-facing role for someone who understands strategy, marketing, project delivery, and customer success. You should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and individual contributors, asking the right questions, identifying what is missing, driving accountability, and helping the team deliver work that creates measurable momentum. Previous experience supporting Microsoft or enterprise technology clients is a strong plus. What You Will Own Lead and grow strategic client relationships within Cadence 3 managed services accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business priorities, marketing goals, stakeholders, risks, and success metrics. Translate client input into clear strategies, plans, scopes, workstreams, timelines, and operating rhythms. Partner with Cadence 3 leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve account health, and expand the value we deliver. Manage ambiguity by asking smart questions, surfacing decisions, and creating clarity for clients and internal teams. Oversee program delivery across events, campaigns, content, communications, and strategic marketing initiatives. Ensure projects are grounded in measurable outcomes, not just completed deliverables. Lead client communications, status updates, planning discussions, executive reviews, and account-level reporting. Manage budgets, scopes, change requests, risks, and resource needs in partnership with internal teams. Build repeatable systems, templates, trackers, and documentation that improve delivery quality and scalability. Support team members by setting context, removing blockers, and reinforcing the quality bar expected by Cadence 3. What Success Looks Like Clients see you as a strategic partner, not just a point of contact. Client goals are translated into clear plans, decisions, timelines, and outcomes. Internal teams understand the strategy, priorities, risks, and next steps. Programs are delivered with strong communication, budget discipline, and clear accountability. Client relationships grow because the value Cadence 3 delivers is visible, measurable, and trusted. You build systems and documentation that help the work scale beyond you. What You Bring 8+ years of experience in account management, customer success, marketing programs, event marketing, agency services, or enterprise client delivery. Experience managing strategic client relationships and complex programs with multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of marketing strategy, event marketing, customer engagement, and integrated program delivery. Proven ability to operate with senior clients, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Strong project, budget, and scope management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to create clarity from ambiguity and drive decisions without waiting to be handed a process. Strong presentation skills and attention to detail. High proficiency with Microsoft tools, project management platforms, and collaboration systems. Experience with Zoho or similar project management tools preferred. Previous experience supporting Microsoft or enterprise technology clients strongly preferred. The Bar for This Role You are not just managing an account. You are helping shape the operating model, quality standard, client experience, and growth path for some of Cadence 3's most important relationships. You should be able to move between strategy and execution fluidly. You should know how to lead a client conversation, build a plan, manage a budget, inspect the details, identify the risks, and help the team deliver excellent work. Role Details Full-time employee role. Managed services client delivery model. Remote work flexibility with alignment to U.S. West Coast business hours. Travel expected based on client and program needs. Equal Opportunity Cadence 3 is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a range of backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and strengths. We welcome qualified applicants and evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, alignment to the role, and ability to contribute to the work and culture of Cadence 3.
