HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY

PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION
The El Dorado County Public Health Division aims to promote, protect, and assure conditions for optimal health for our community through disease prevention and management programs, education on healthy living, emergency preparedness, and program implementation. THE OPPORTUNITY
This Health Program Specialist role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in community wellness by supporting a variety of Public Health initiatives. In this position, you'll play a vital part in developing, coordinating, and delivering programs that promote health education, prevention, and access to services across the County. You'll gather and share important health data, assist community members and partner organizations, and help ensure programs run smoothly and effectively. With responsibilities that span outreach, training facilitation, and collaboration with diverse groups, this opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the community and contributing to the success of public health efforts. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to: Serve as the primary point of contact for numerous public health services. Organize, promote and conduct public meetings involving service providers and community agencies. Assist in development of program policies and procedures; provide information to participants, consumers, community groups, service providers and other agencies regarding program procedures. Schedule, coordinate and facilitate educational training programs. Prepare program plans and evaluations; conduct in-service training and workshops pertaining to assigned Public Health programs.
