Job Description

Position Description This is a full-time (30 hours/week), one-year national service position. As the Home Repair VISTA with Habitat for Humanity in Racine, you will help increase the organization's capacity to build more homes for people in Racine and Kenosha Counties. You will focus on three areas as you build up the home repair program:
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Research home repair needs in the area and connect with other Habitat affiliates to learn best practices.
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
Determine program needs - funds, volunteers, etc - and develop and implement a plan to meet those needs.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & COMMUNICATION
Develop a plan to connect with homeowners in need of repair services as well as build support for the program. Skills/Experience While previous experience working at a nonprofit is a plus, what we are looking for is someone with a passion for community service and a desire to make a difference. $25,550/year paid bi-weekly
Education Award:
$7,395 (upon successful completion of service year) 30-hour work week hybrid schedule (after the first month) •Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Please submit an application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection may be made before deadline date posted.•
