Job Description

This full-time position supports the HOME Housing Program and offers a hybrid work schedule, with remote flexibility and regular in-office days in Paris, Texas . The position requires regular local and regional day travel. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Essential Functions Provide responsive and professional customer service to homeowners, vendors, and Program Administrators by phone, in writing, and in person. Manage accurate and timely data entry across internal and external systems, prepare and compile large batches of program documents, and electronically file program records. Coordinate with project vendors, including surveyors, appraisers, and builders, to support project needs and timelines. Support pre-construction meetings, grant signings, bid meetings, and other program activities. Manage daily administrative needs, including correspondence, mailings, document processing, notarization, and office supplies. Perform other duties and tasks assigned in support of the team and HOME program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with homeowners, vendors, local officials, and the public. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn and apply complex program requirements, procedures, and systems. Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Calendar. Ability to identify, contact, and coordinate project vendors, including surveyors, appraisers, and other project professionals. Ability to use standard office equipment, technology, and electronic recordkeeping systems. Ability to remain professional, calm, and solution-focused when handling challenging situations. Construction or home inspection experience preferred, including experience with the installation, servicing, repair, or maintenance of structural, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems in single-family homes. Knowledge of grant administration and real estate and title documentation is a plus. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% throughout the regional area, primarily during the workday.
  • Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged periods of sitting and occasional lifting and transporting of boxes and materials.
