This position will build and maintain program files and work directly with service providers to collect eligibility documents. This position will also complete daily tasks crucial to the operation of ABC's housing programs including, but not limited to, waitlist data entry and review of terminations, deposit assistance request and ticket extensions. Responsibilities
- Review and accepts or declines applications and referrals based on program eligibility.
- Maintain housing program referral and waitlist list.
- Notification of appropriate parties of eligibility determination and provide specific information affecting program participation.
- Regularly utilizes the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for referral processing.
- Maintains program information in database and maintain records.
- Coordinate applicant briefings/orientation with housing providers for multiple programs.
- Work with appropriate parties to coordinate applicant attendance to briefings, make referrals and confirm participation.
- Manage and maintain all records for referrals.
- Attends community case conferencing and other meetings related to Housing program vacancies and referral sources.
- Enters new applicants into the ABC software system.
- Responsible for maintaining relevant files in the office filing system (Central Office files and housing program filing system) which includes the scanning of documents into the computer system, when necessary, to ensure the completeness of information in company files.
- Reviews housing program terminations, deposit assistance requests, ticket extensions requests.
- Enters data into waitlist software program and communicates with public about waitlist status.
- Assist with monthly reports to funders where required.
- Performs other activities as assigned. Qualifications Consideration will be given to any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the described duties.
- Bachelor's Degree or combination at least two years of experience in the affordable housing industry and housing certifications such as housing manager, occupancy, and rent calculation.
- Understanding of and the commitment to the mission of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in organization and file maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and relate to a variety of diverse individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated ability to use Windows compatible PCs with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in ABC software system.
- HMIS Trained.
Salary is based upon education and experience.
