GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is for the Blue Cross Blue Shield MEDIC ( Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaboration ) Program. Hybrid position with remote and onsite work located at Providence Novi Hospital. Monday
  • Friday, 8am
  • 4:30pm, No Weekends Responsibilities Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures. Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations. Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators. Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams. Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.
Education / Experience
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note:
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Nursing degree highly preferred. 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred Emergency Department experience preferred Previous experience with Quality Improvement and project management a plus Previous
BCBS CQI
experience preferred Licensure / Certification / Registration BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt. preferred.
