ABOUT US
New Avenue Inc. is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for youth and families. Our programs focus on youth development, workforce readiness, mental wellness, and creative expression. As we prepare to launch our Community Center and youth programs this summer, we are seeking a dedicated individual to help expand our outreach, partnerships, and visibility across the St. Louis community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
New Avenue Inc. is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and documentation of programs as we launch and operate in community-based spaces prior to opening our permanent facility. This role is critical in ensuring programs run smoothly across multiple locations (schools, community centers, partner sites, and pop-ups) while maintaining strong data tracking and operational consistency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Coordination Schedule and coordinate weekly programs, workshops, and events across multiple sites Confirm logistics including location, materials, facilitators, and timing Maintain a centralized program calendar Staff & Partner Management Coordinate with instructors, volunteers, and partner organizations Ensure all facilitators have schedules, expectations, and materials Support onboarding and communication with new partners Attendance Tracking & Documentation Track participant attendance for all programs and events Maintain organized digital records (Google Sheets, forms, etc.) Ensure sign-in processes are implemented consistently across sites Data & Reporting Support Collect and organize program outcome data Support grant reporting requirements and documentation Assist leadership in tracking program impact and growth
MEASURABLE PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
(KPIs) This role is performance-driven.
Success will be measured by:
Program Execution Coordinate 8-15 programs/events per month across various locations Maintain 100% accurate program calendar and scheduling system Attendance & Engagement Achieve 80%+ attendance tracking compliance across all programs Ensure participant data is recorded within 24-48 hours after each event Partnership Coordination Maintain active communication with 5-10 community partners/month Ensure 100% of facilitators receive schedules and expectations in advance Data & Reporting Submit weekly program summaries Support monthly impact reports with complete and organized data Maintain audit-ready documentation for grant compliance
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Experience in program coordination, administration, or nonprofit work Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable working in flexible, community-based environments (not office-based yet) Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) Strong communication and follow-up skills Passion for community impact, youth development, and program growth
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Hybrid / Field-Based (community sites, events, partner locations) Flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends required) Transition into in-building operations once facility opens
