In this role, you'll own meaningful work, partner directly with clients, and help shape scalable programs. LSDS is seeking a capable, proactive Program Lead to manage our growing Safety & Security Travel Programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning programs, solving problems, working directly with clients, and turning complex information into clear, actionable support. The primary focus of this role is travel programs supporting collegiate, corporate, and individual client travelers. This includes leading a capable team of Independent Contractors to accomplish consistent and emerging missions associated with this type of work. We expect this role to evolve into a program manager requirement as growth continues. The right person will increase responsibilities into broader Safety & Security program leadership, training, assessments, crisis-response initiatives, marketing, and business development.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Lead Global Travel Programs Serve as day-to-day program lead for collegiate, corporate, and individual travel programs. Manage deliverables and timelines, troubleshoot challenges, and provide clear updates. Coordinate team priorities to ensure clients receive timely, consistent, high-quality support. Build & Develop the Team Provide clear guidance, encourage ownership and accountability, and promote teamwork. Support cross-training and professional development to build a resilient, capable team. Help create repeatable processes to allow programs to scale without compromising quality.
GROW WITH LSDS
This position is intentionally designed to grow beyond travel-program execution. As capabilities and business needs evolve, the PM may take on responsibility for: Broader Safety & Security program leadership Conference safety and security initiatives Threat & Vulnerability Assessments and related research Crisis-response planning and SOP development Marketing and client engagement initiatives Business development cultivation and expansion opportunities New program design, technology implementation, and strategic initiatives The successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape what this role becomes , including expanded responsibilities, workload, time allocation, and compensation as the scope of leadership grows.

COMPENSATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT EXPECTATIONS
This is a hybrid work role with an expectation of at least two in-office days per week at LSDS's Southern Pines office (313 SE Broad Street, above Chuy's). The role is expected to begin as a 1099 contractor position at $28-31/hour, with an anticipated workload of 20+ hours per week. As responsibilities, scope, and business needs grow, the position may evolve into a full-time W-2 salaried role, with compensation structure, workload, and time expectations adjusted accordingly. Pay:
