Rebuilding Together South Sound is a local Pierce County nonprofit with the goal to preserve affordable housing through free home repairs for low-income homeowners who are seniors, people with disabilities or families with children in the home. The Programs Manager is a full time (36 hours per week) position at Rebuilding Together South Sound in Lakewood, WA. The Programs Manager is responsible for project, client, and volunteer management for Rebuilding Together South Sound's programs. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to communicate with staff, clients, volunteers and partners.
Areas of responsibility include:
Programs & Project Management - serve as the main point of contact for clients, before, during, and after services are complete at their home; receive and review client applications; coordinate home evaluations; schedule repair work; manage client files and Salesforce database; and prepare/mail follow up evaluations to homeowners. Volunteer Management - Support volunteer projects, facilitating positive volunteer experiences by developing relationships with volunteers, sponsor teams, and community partners. Coordinate project and site logistics for volunteer projects, and assist in developing a volunteer-based painting program. Administration - Primarily responsible for answering general inquiries (phone and email); maintain project records within Salesforce; prepare project information for social media posting and grant reports; participate in staff activities; and support fundraising activities as requested.
Qualifications & Skills:
Two or more years of customer service, social services, office administration or related work experience. Intermediate level MS Office skills required, Salesforce or similar database experience preferred. Nonprofit and/or construction industry experience preferred. Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Rebuilding Together South Sound employees work a 36-hour per week schedule working four 9-hour days Monday through Thursday. Additionally, this job allows for up to 80% work from home time throughout a typical work week upon completion of 90 day probation period. We believe in a flexible working environment and hours and work with employees to plan a schedule that works for all and ensures appropriate office coverage. The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour and paid mileage for work travel plus a benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, technology stipend, paid holidays and paid time off.
