Alderwick Health Communications partners with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to deliver scientific publications, medical education, and Medical Affairs initiatives. We're hiring a Program Manager to keep that work moving. You'll connect client priorities with day-to-day execution, giving scientific and creative teams the plans, resources, and visibility they need to deliver. Reporting to the Director of Program Delivery, you'll oversee multiple related projects, manage dependencies, and keep timelines and budgets aligned as requirements evolve. What you'll own Program planning and delivery Translate approved briefs into project plans with clear milestones, responsibilities, and deliverables. Coordinate resources across scientific, editorial, design, and client services teams. Financial management Develop estimates, monitor spending, maintain forecasts, and support invoicing and reconciliation. Identify scope changes early and prepare revised budgets for approval. Client and team coordination Lead status meetings, maintain action logs, and communicate progress clearly. Make sure decisions reach the right people and outstanding questions have an owner. Risk and quality oversight Track dependencies, flag delivery risks, and recommend practical solutions. Coordinate review and approval stages so materials meet agreed specifications before release. Process improvement Improve templates, reporting, and handoffs. Help the team build repeatable processes while adapting to the needs of individual programs. Experience that will help you succeed We're looking for someone with: Two to four years of project or program management experience in medical communications, healthcare agencies, or a closely related environment. Experience supporting scientific publications, medical education, or Medical Affairs projects. A track record of managing several workstreams with competing deadlines. Confidence working with budgets, estimates, forecasts, and project financial reports. Strong written and spoken English and the ability to lead productive client discussions. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Asana, or Monday.com. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience with publication management systems, Veeva, or medical review workflows is helpful. PMP or CAPM certification is welcome but not required. Your first three months You'll learn our client portfolio, delivery processes, and financial systems before taking ownership of assigned programs. By the end of your first 90 days, you should be independently leading status meetings, maintaining reliable schedules and forecasts, and escalating risks with clear recommendations. Pay, benefits, and support Base salary $65,000-$85,000 annually before taxes, paid twice monthly. Performance bonus annual target of 5% of base salary; dependent on company and individual results and not guaranteed. Health benefits medical, dental, and vision plans with employer contributions. Location:
Remote within the United States. Employment availability in your state will be confirmed during recruitment.
Work authorization:

Schedule:
Typically Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with availability from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time for team and client collaboration.
Travel:
Up to 10% for planning sessions, client meetings, or medical congresses. Approved business expenses are covered.
Peak periods:
Publication deadlines and event preparation may occasionally require work outside standard hours.
Responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor role with cross-functional coordination responsibilities. It does not initially include direct reports or a sales quota.
