This is a Full-Time, Exempt Position Under the supervision of Children's Home Society of California's (CHS) Program Administrator I, the Program Manager will:- Carry out the activities of the Resource & Referral (R&R) Program
- Promote high-quality program standards, monitor quality assurance, and ensure contract compliance
- Plan, coordinate, and implement outreach activities for the R&R Program in Orange County and the Greater Long Beach area of Los Angeles County
- Provide technical assistance and resources to families and child care providers
- Ensure completion and submission of statistical data reports for Quality Assurance (QA) validation
- Represent CHS at designated community outreach events to inform professionals, providers, and families about CHS Early Learning and Education Programs
- Supervise, train, and evaluate R&R Program Specialist (Hotline) staff at the Orange and Long Beach offices
- Provide additional training and guidance to R&R Program Specialist (Hotline) staff at all sites
- Review data entry on the Child Care Eligibility List (CCEL) and NoHo R&R database to monitor quality assurance
- Conduct Hotline Monitoring calls and provide feedback to Program Specialists on ways to improve customer service
- As a member of CHS Management Staff, support the agency's mission, demonstrate leadership, and conduct oneself as a positive model for staff
- Maintain all records in a high-quality manner and within record protection, retention, and destruction guidelines
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and governmental regulations
- Work some evening and weekend hours as required
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or Child Development field, or related field required
- Five (5) years of relevant post degree work experience required
- Prior non-profit experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision abilities required
- Knowledge of community resources
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of parents from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to prepare and present effective written work, provide strong attention to detail, and produce error-free work
- Proactive professional with a strong work ethic and an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and be accessible during work hours, regardless of work location
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shift quickly between assignments with a flexible and positive attitude while meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to establish a rapport with parents, providers, and community organizations
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to CHS's core mission and values, and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and transparently with all levels of staff
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices
