SEMHA is seeking a highly organized, community-centered, and passionate Program Manager to support and lead the operational coordination of impactful community initiatives at Sacred Spaces. This position will focus on food systems, sustainability and environmental stewardship, education, and neighborhood engagement. This position will offer an exciting opportunity to work alongside community leaders, residents, and partner organizations to help strengthen programs that create meaningful change. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrives in mission-driven environments where organization, communication, and relationship-building are essential. Position Summary The Program Manager serves as the operational lead for Sacred Spaces and community initiatives. This role bridges strategy and execution by overseeing program implementation, coordinating logistics, maintaining organizational systems, supporting grant compliance activities, and ensuring projects move forward effectively. This position plays a critical role in supporting community-focused programming and strengthening internal operations that advance Sacred Spaces' mission and impact. Key Responsibilities Program Operations & Implementation Coordinate day-to-day implementation of programs, workshops, events, and community initiatives Manage timelines, project deliverables, logistics, and operational workflows Support initiatives related to: Food systems Environmental stewardship Community education Resident engagement Urban and neighborhood development activities Grants Management & Reporting Coordinate grant deliverables and reporting deadlines Track program participation, outcomes, and performance metrics Prepare operational summaries, reports, and program updates Assist with compliance and documentation processes Team Coordination & Organizational Support Coordinate internal meetings and project communications Support workflow management and organizational systems Assist with volunteer, intern, and community partner coordination Maintain organized records, files, and operational documentation Community Engagement & Partnerships Support outreach and engagement efforts with residents and stakeholders Represent Sacred Spaces at meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives Help strengthen partnerships that support community impact and sustainability
Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience in: Program coordination Nonprofit operations Community-based initiatives Project management Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Experience managing logistics, reporting, and collaborative workflows Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment Preferred Background in: Food systems Environmental justice Urban agriculture Community development Sustainability initiatives Familiarity with nonprofit grant reporting and compliance systems Why Join Sacred Spaces?
