Service and Support Administrator Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities About us Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities (ACBDD) Since its inception in 1957, the ACBDD has been providing individuals opportunities to learn, grow, and enrich their lives. For Athens County individuals with developmental disabilities, we provide quality services by assessing their needs and creating individual plans. We offer education, employment, life skills training, recreation, transportation, residential support, services coordination, and more. We help to integrate individuals with developmental disabilities into their community as valued citizens. We also believe all people, including those with developmental disabilities, have the right to the opportunity for competitive employment. The ACBDD firmly follows the state's Employment First policy, which means employment opportunities in fully-integrated work settings shall be the first and priority option explored in the service planning for working-age persons with developmental disabilities enrolled in ACBDD programs. In addition, under Ohio's Technology First initiative, we work to ensure technology is considered as part of all service and support plans for people with developmental disabilities. Technology First is not a technology-only policy but aims to help people learn more about how to use technology to improve their quality of life and how they can experience more independence and personal freedom.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services related field and meet credentials to obtain DODD Service and Support Administration Certification.
  • 2 years of experience in field of DD preferred. Knowledge of other social service agencies preferred
  • Skill in preparing accurate and concise reports and records. Knowledge of data collection, analysis and understanding of fiscal issues related to Medicaid waivers and supported living.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituent groups.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with a variety of software and web-based applications
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, and an acceptable driving record for agency insurance carrier
Job Duties:
Join a thriving and caring team of professionals impacting the lives of hundreds of people every day! The ACBDD is seeking Service & Support Administrators to support Athens County citizens with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives. Provides a primary point of coordination in the intake, assessment, plan and budget development, service coordination and monitoring, and information and referral services to and on behalf of individuals receiving ACBDD services. In consultation with others in the individual's circle of support, coordinates a person-centered discovery process to develop specific goals and objectives on the Individual Support Plans (ISPs), identifying needs that best support the individual while promoting the individual's rights, self-determination, physical, emotional, material well-being, personal development, interpersonal relationships, and community inclusion. Provides initial ISP packet development, program review and approval, quality assurance/monitoring, annual re-determination, ISP revisions, referral and linkage, team facilitation, training, support, and other activities on behalf of individuals receiving services.
