Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth, Easton, Pennsylvania, with travel throughout the Wilson Area School District service area. About Wilson Area LINCS Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening children, families, and the community by connecting individuals with resources, implementing evidence-based prevention programs, and mobilizing community partnerships. Using the nationally recognized Communities That Care (CTC) prevention framework, Wilson Area LINCS works collaboratively with the school district, healthcare providers, businesses, faith organizations, government agencies, and community partners to reduce risk factors, strengthen protective factors, and improve outcomes for youth and families. The Skills Training and Recognition (STAR) Program is an evidence-based after-school prevention program serving students in grades 5-8. STAR provides engaging, hands-on learning experiences that help young people develop practical skills, positive relationships, confidence, leadership, and connections to caring adults while strengthening protective factors that reduce the likelihood of substance use, delinquency, violence, and other problem behaviors. Position Summary The STAR and Youth Programming Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Skills Training and Recognition (STAR) Program and Wilson Area LINCS youth programming initiatives. This position provides leadership for all aspects of STAR, including program development, instructor recruitment and support, student enrollment, partnership development, grant management, budget oversight, evaluation, and compliance with evidence-based implementation standards. The Coordinator also provides leadership and coordination for the annual Wilson Area LINCS Summer Program, including program planning, staffing and volunteer coordination, participant registration, family communication, program administration, and daily program operations. The Coordinator works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and families to ensure the Summer Program provides safe, engaging, and meaningful opportunities that support positive youth development. The Coordinator serves as a primary liaison between Wilson Area LINCS, Wilson Area School District, community partners, participating youth and families, funders, STAR instructors, and Summer Program staff and volunteers to ensure that youth programs are well organized, effectively implemented, and responsive to the needs of the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Leadership Coordinate all aspects of STAR program planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation. Ensure implementation fidelity to the STAR evidence-based prevention model. Develop annual program goals, objectives, timelines, and implementation plans. Continuously evaluate program quality and recommend improvements. Maintain and update program policies, procedures, and implementation practices. Student Recruitment and Family Engagement Coordinate student recruitment and enrollment in collaboration with Wilson Area School District and community partners. Manage registration, attendance, participant records, and related program documentation. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding programming, schedules, expectations, and opportunities. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students and families. Coordinate student recognition events, celebrations, and opportunities to acknowledge student accomplishments. Community Partnership Development Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with: Wilson Area School District Local businesses Nonprofit organizations Skilled trades professionals Healthcare organizations Community volunteers Higher education institutions Faith-based organizations Government agencies Recruit and support community organizations, professionals, educators, and volunteers to serve as STAR instructional and program partners. Instructor Recruitment, Training, and Supervision Recruit, coordinate, and support qualified STAR instructors and volunteers. Coordinate instructor orientation and ongoing training. Provide coaching, communication, and support throughout each program cycle. Monitor instructor performance and implementation quality. Ensure instructors meet all organizational, school district, clearance, and program requirements. Summer Program Coordination Provide overall coordination and administrative support for the annual Wilson Area LINCS Summer Program. Assist with program planning, development, staffing, volunteer coordination, participant registration, family engagement, and daily program operations. Assist with recruiting and coordinating summer teachers, instructors, and volunteers and support their orientation, training, and compliance with required clearances and organizational procedures. Coordinate communication with participating families and maintain accurate registration and program documentation. Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and program personnel to ensure a safe, well-organized, engaging, and high-quality summer experience for youth. Program Operations Coordinate program schedules, facilities, supplies, equipment, and other operational needs. Purchase and maintain program materials within approved budgets. Coordinate snacks, student incentives, and other program resources. Ensure program safety procedures and organizational requirements are followed. Maintain accurate and organized participant, program, and operational records. Identify operational needs and resolve issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Grant Management and Compliance Assist with grant implementation, compliance, and required documentation. Monitor grant deliverables, timelines, and program requirements. Collect information and documentation needed for funder reports. Prepare or assist with reports for funders. Assist with future grant proposals and funding requests related to STAR and youth programming. Budget Management Assist the Executive Director in developing annual STAR and youth program budgets. Monitor program expenditures and ensure spending aligns with approved budgets and grant requirements. Maintain purchasing records and supporting documentation. Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation. Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational and grant funds. Data Collection and Evaluation Collect and maintain participant, attendance, participation, and outcome data. Monitor program participation and engagement. Prepare reports measuring program activities and outcomes. Assist with evaluation activities required by funders and evidence-based program models. Review program data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. Communications and Marketing Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to: Promote STAR and youth programming throughout the community. Develop and distribute program marketing and recruitment materials. Coordinate social media and other digital communications. Assist with newsletters, press releases, website content, and other communications. Promote student and program accomplishments. Present STAR and youth programming to community organizations and potential partners. Represent Wilson Area LINCS at community events, meetings, and outreach activities. Communities That Care (CTC) Support implementation of the Wilson Area LINCS Communities That Care Community Action Plan by: Participating in coalition meetings and activities. Supporting relevant CTC workgroups. Promoting evidence-based prevention practices and positive youth development. Supporting strategies that strengthen community protective factors. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships among community sectors. Connecting CTC priorities and prevention strategies with STAR and other youth programming when appropriate. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain organized electronic and paper records in accordance with organizational requirements. Prepare regular program and administrative reports. Attend staff meetings and participate in organizational planning. Support organizational events and community outreach activities. Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned. Perform other duties necessary to advance the mission and goals of Wilson Area LINCS. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, social work, public health, nonprofit management, psychology, youth development, criminal justice, or related field. Three years of progressively responsible experience coordinating youth, education, prevention, or community programs. Experience working with children and adolescents. Experience building community partnerships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation. All required clearances. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing evidence-based prevention programs. Knowledge of Communities That Care (CTC). Experience with grant-funded programs. Experience supervising staff or volunteers. Budget management experience. Data collection and program evaluation experience. Experience working within public schools. CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Typical schedule:
Monday through Friday 32 hours per week Because the STAR Program operates after school, this position regularly requires afternoon and early evening hours. Occasional weekend hours are required for family engagement activities, trainings, community outreach, and special events. Flexible scheduling may be available based on organizational needs.
