Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Stay Home Safe Program Manager will oversee daily client management activities within the Older Adults Home Modification Program (OAHMP). This role involves performing intake, providing project support, and supervising contractors' work. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with the Program Director and Construction Department to ensure effective client outreach, application processing, home visits, repair scope development, and client support throughout the program lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the HFHD Construction Department and Henry Ford Health OT team to schedule home assessments and develop repair scopes.
  • Conduct pre- and post-program client support, including surveys and follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records in the OAHMP system and prepare reports as required.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to HUD regulations and program standards.
  • Maintain the program database, including logging of new inquiries, and management of existing clients.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner by coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors and construction staff, to ensure that projects are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain and update all necessary data collection tools, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and funding sources at different phases.
  • Review client applications to determine eligibility for the program and funding sources.
  • Conduct pre- and post-work client surveys and analyze baseline and impact data for program efficacy.
  • Includes other departmental duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours, some Saturdays and evenings may be required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably within HUD-funded initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must complete Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) training within the first six months of employment.
EDUCATION
  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience required.
Preferred areas of focus:
housing and/or social services
  • Previous construction/repair/weatherization experience preferred, willingness to learn on the job is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel as needed are required.
  • Employment contingent upon completion of a successful background check
