Position Summary:
The Student Advocate supports teens' academic and personal success through weekly mentorship and meaningful outdoor education experiences. Serving in both direct service and administrative capacities, the Student Advocate models the standards of EWoW's advocacy program. The Student Advocate also serves in a leadership role during the Outdoor Course Days, helping create safe, engaging, and transformative experiences for youth. Why Consider This Role? - Help teens achieve academic and personal goals.
- Facilitate weekly sessions with up to three students and/or their parents.
- Utilize interventions to help students overcome challenges and barriers.
- Provide supportive counseling and academic assistance.
- Maintain confidential progress notes and documentation.
- Collaborate with community professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in weekly office hours, clinical supervision, and team meetings. Outdoor Education
- Participate in pre-trip and post-trip briefings.
- Maintain the physical and emotional safety of students while serving as a positive role model.
- Support the creation of safe, fun, and engaging outdoor education experiences.
- Facilitate lessons, activities, and group discussions. Administration
- Assist the leadership team with parent communication, outreach efforts, and training initiatives. Qualifications
- Experience in youth development, education, mentoring, and advocacy.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are important.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively in both office and field-based environments.

Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
