JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Provides community service delivery to low-income families seeking assistance through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and/or the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Interview customers for eligibility and support, recommending appropriate program assistance to address household needs; assist in reviewing completed customer files to ensure that all required documentation is secured and accurate, prior to being pledged to vendors; identify and coordinate additional community services through referrals, as necessary, to enhance customer assistance; and update, review, and maintain customer data in agency database, as required for permanent record.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
:- Ability to demonstrate competency in oral and written communication, computer and mathematic skills, and record-keeping.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills with genuine concern for individuals with various socio-economic backgrounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, community service-related work experience preferred.
- Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
