Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Community Programs Assistant II is responsible for the successful implementation of all programs. Implementation procedures will include application intake of all program rules and eligibility requirements and make appropriate referrals to other programs and agencies.

QUALIFACTIONS
At minimum, Bachelors of Social Work, or Social Service field, Psychology, Sociology, Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts or Business. Having excellent communications skills, customer service skills and computer literacy is highly desired. Good organizational, leadership and record keeping skills are essential.
REQUIREMENTS
Have a negative criminal record check. Must have the ability to associate with people in all areas of race, gender, and age. Must have a current Tennessee drivers' license, reliable transportation, as well as the state required minimum vehicle liability insurance and uninsured motorist coverage.
RESONSIBILITES
A.
PROGRAM AREA RELATED
Secure a detailed working knowledge of appropriate State, Federal, and Local Program regulations. Function as grant and/or program coordinator. Assist with the program guideline evaluation, development and implementation. Assist with new grant and/or program research, development and implementation. Insure that appropriate program procedures are followed. Program monitoring through direct contact, follow up and referral. Conduct outreach activities designed to assure that eligible households are made aware of the assistance available. Provide information and counseling to potential clients, staff, and interested community groups regarding program eligibility, guidelines, mechanisms and progress. Assist client with application procedures. Develop and Maintain accurate client files. Verify eligibility of clients. Assure that all disbursements of funds are in accordance with existing regulations. Work in cooperation with vendors for the purpose of information sharing and problem solving involving client eligibility. Participate in opportunities for professional development including participation in professional organizations and application of professional literature. Attends meetings and training seminars as required. Participates in self-evaluation and program evaluation activities. Submits neat, accurate and punctual program records and reports. Make appropriate referrals to area agencies that can possibly assist clients with other needs. Keeps a positive attitude toward all aspects of the agency and seeks ways to improve delivery of services. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Distribute materials to increase public awareness of the programs of the Agency. Assume other duties as assigned Data entry Assist with the periodic review of paperwork to assure compliance with program Federal, State & local guidelines. Assist with daily operations at The Old Fire House Day Shelter as needed.

Observe the Agency's confidentiality policy regarding participants, records, technology, reports, and staff. Adheres to professional ethics and standard Establishes and fosters good working relationships within the Agency Demonstrates work habits that comply with the Agency Personnel Policies and procedures. Acts as a representative of the Clarksville/Montgomery County Community Action Agency in the community. Serves as an advocate for the participants in the Agency and Community. Keeps a positive attitude toward all aspects of the Agency and seeks ways to improve delivery of services. Contributes to the efforts of the agency to meet or exceed state and local licensing requirements. Adheres to current policies and procedures in a professional manner. Assist with the preparation and distribution of Commodities.
