Job Description

The Program Coordinator provides professional support to CASA Volunteers and the Executive Director to ensure that children served by the CASA program receive effective, consistent advocacy and timely permanency planning. This position is responsible for volunteer training and supervision, case coordination, program documentation, and other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Program Coordinator should possess the following skills, experience, and attributes: Bachelor's degree in a social services or related field preferred Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills Experience working with and/or supervising volunteers preferred Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, motivate, and support volunteers Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives Knowledge of child welfare issues, particularly child abuse and neglect, and family systems in crisis (experience preferred) Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a nonjudgmental, empathetic approach Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Occasional availability for evenings and weekends Reliable transportation, valid Tennessee driver's license, and proof of insurance (mileage reimbursement provided) Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all clients, volunteers, and agency information
SUPERVISION
The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and is subject to performance evaluation by the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteer Training & Supervision Complete required CASA volunteer training and Training of Facilitators (TOF) certification Assist with planning, coordinating, and facilitating volunteer training sessions as needed Maintain at least monthly contact with each assigned volunteer Provide ongoing consultation, guidance, and support as needed Attend court hearings and maintain awareness of court schedules and deadlines Review, approve, and distribute volunteer court reports promptly Case Management Review new cases and assign appropriate volunteer advocates Monitor and provide interim oversight for cases without assigned volunteers Maintain accurate and timely records using CASA Manager software Prepare and distribute case assignment documentation Assist in developing initial case strategies and ongoing advocacy plans Serve as a liaison between the CASA program and courts, attorneys, and other system partners Provide ongoing support, guidance, and consultation to volunteers as needed Program Administration & Activities Complete a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service training as directed by the Executive Director Attend staff meetings and agency trainings as required Submit monthly time sheets and mileage reports Prepare and submit monthly and/or quarterly activity reports as requested Participate in performance evaluations conducted by the Executive Director Participate in community awareness and outreach events as assigned Community Collaboration Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers Build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including DCS, GALs, courts, and other agencies Attend community meetings and collaborative forums as requested
