Job Description

The Assistant Director of Education is responsible for the quality implementation of Sylvan instructional programs and maintaining quality educational standards at the Center. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, staff management, new program adoption, test administration, parent consultations and sales.
SYLVAN ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE IS AN ASSET!
Essential Job Functions:
Conduct monthly conferencing with Sylvan parents. Administer Sylvan Skills Assessment to students and analyzes test results. Manage instructional hour to assure formal welcome, instructional delivery and transition time. Implementation of Sylvan Motivational Program. Market to schools, counselors, principals and local area professionals. Schedule and attend parent and teacher conferences including school visits.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree, valid teaching certificate (license), and at least two years of teaching experience with public or private schools.
  • Related experience in one or more of the following areas preferred; Retail, Marketing, Sales and Service, (previous Sylvan experience is a big bonus !)
  • Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills and the ability to build relationships are required.
  • Must demonstrate high level of customer service orientation.
  • Strong time management skills; organized and able to complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Must have ability to calculate figures and amounts, read, analyze and interpret business reports/statistics; write reports and business correspondence.
  • Must be available to provide one's own transportation in order to attend school visits.
  • Must be available to work evening hours, and some weekends.

$38,000 - $43,000

Schedule:
