This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position at 232 days with a salary range from $74,229 to $82,587. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon grant renewal. Job Summary (Primary Purpose): The

PREP PALT

Lead provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the

PREP PALT

component of the Region 13 Educator Certification Program (ECP). This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality preservice training in compliance with state requirements, supporting teacher candidates throughout the certification process, maintaining compliance with state requirements, and collaborating with school districts, program staff, and stakeholders to prepare effective educators for Texas classrooms. Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates): Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Valid Texas teaching certificate Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates): Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field Experience in educational leadership within a public school system or experience working in an educator preparation program Experience building and/or expanding partnerships and implementing new programs Experience with program evaluation, data analysis, and continuous improvement processes Experience collaborating with multiple school districts and educational partners

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Proficiency with technology and data management systems Knowledge of the Texas Administrative Code (TAC), State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) rules, and Texas educator preparation requirements Knowledge of effective instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning strategies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates, district personnel, and agency staff Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment

Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public Engage school system partners in formal partnership for the

pathway Facilitate the co-development of the

PREP PALT

pathway with school system partners and establish a cadence of partnership dialogue and data sharing[KT1.1] Lead coordination with

PREP PALT

grant partners, including the Center for Transforming Alternative Certification Pathways (CTAPP) and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), through monthly convenings and regular check-ins Coordinate preservice coursework, the preservice intensive experience, and clinical experience ensuring that all are in compliance with requirements of House Bill 2 related legislation and applicable Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Complete all key milestones to support the launch of the

pathway and achieve SBEC approval of the PREP Alternative Preservice certification route. Engage in virtual weekly coaching sessions with CTAPP to check on progress of the

PREP PALT

pathway and provide feedback to TEA on program refinements Ensure field supervisors and mentoring educators receive, complete, and update, as necessary, PREP-required Texas Mentorship Training Support[KT2.1]

pathway recruitment and information events for prospective teacher candidates Monitor

candidates progress at all stages and provide coaching, guidance, and intervention as needed Collaborate with school systems, campus leaders, and education partners to support candidate placement and readiness Analyze candidate performance data and program outcomes to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives Assist in the development and revision of curriculum aligned to current Texas educator standards and evidence-based instructional practices Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for leadership, school system partners, and external agencies Perform other duties as assigned

Budget Responsibilities:

Follow grant program guidelines for allowable use of funds Develop understanding of annual revenue and expenses for Educator Certification Program and attend training for financial sustainability Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands & Environmental Factors): Follow policies and procedures Professional office environment with frequent interaction with stakeholders, educators, candidates, and school system personnel Travel within the Region 13 service area and throughout Texas for meetings and professional development as needed Prolonged and/or irregular work hours Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds This is an onsite, in person position with the ability to work remotely one day per week up to four days per month.
