POSITION PURPOSE
The Weatherization Program Specialist is responsible for supporting all functions of the Weatherization Program and Energy Housing Programs, with a focus on administration and operational functions. This role reports directly to the Weatherization Supervisor and collaborates closely with the Energy/Housing Program Manager, Energy/Housing Program Supervisor, or Department of Energy (DOE), and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA).

Learn and implement procedures, policies, rules, and regulations Balance schedules, priorities, and standards to achieve program goals Evaluate and coordinate program activities to ensure successful outcomes
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administrative & Compliance Duties:
1. Complete, organize, and maintain all paperwork associated with assessments, audits, inspections, client files, and contractor documentation. 2. Ensure all file documentation meets DOE, TDHCA, and organizational standards, including compliance checks, record audits, and timely data entry into local systems. 3. Assist Supervisor in managing contractor relations by coordinating schedules, tracking completion of work orders, reviewing contractor documentation, and communicating requirements or corrections as needed. 4. Assist in procurement-related documentation and ensure contractor work aligns with approved measures and budget guidelines. 5. Submit State Historic Preservation reviews for eligible properties and ensure documentation is complete and compliant. 6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and support implementation of new compliance requirements and procedures. 7. Provide customer service support, including client communication, education, needs assessments, satisfaction surveys, and follow-up coordination. 8. Assist with preparation for internal audits, monitoring visits, and state/federal reviews
