Job Description

Group Home Supervisor Encompass Community Supports , formerly known as Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services (RRCS) is hiring for Group Home Supervisors to work in our group homes in Orange, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Madison and Fauquier Counties. Encompass Community Supports is a Virginia State community services organization that improves the quality of life in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties by providing comprehensive mental health, substance use, developmental disability, housing, children, and aging services. That starting salary for our Group Home Supervisors is $ 55,000 annually. The Group Home Supervisor plans, supervises, and coordinates the delivery of programs in group homes and does related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision. Supervision is exercised over personnel.
SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and trains staff; conducts interviews, assists in the hiring process, individual and group staff supervision. Creates monthly schedules ensure schedules are followed; reviews and submits time cards; conducts annual performance evaluations; handles disciplinary actions; resolves staff disputes and addresses needs and concerns. Ensures implementation and documentation of program compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (including but not limited to Medicaid, DBHDS, Licensing, Human Right, and Department of Justice). Conducts routine quality record review of person-centered documentation and specialized medical and health documentation. Interacts frequently with medical personnel including, primary care doctors, specialists, and nurses to address ongoing and acute medical conditions of the individuals being served. Provides coverage for shifts when needed. Follows up on benefit information and coordination (Medicaid Waiver/ IDOLS, medical supplies, adaptive equipment). Monitors financial situation of clients; conducts monthly billing activities; administers financial accounts; acts as representative payee. Ensures completion of monthly tasks, monthly reports Attends and conducts meetings with staff, senior management, and support coordination Support Coordination. Creates person centered plans and quarterlies. Monitors client care to ensure client goals and objects are met. Supervises and coordinates the delivery of service in the group home. Performs hands-on care for clients. Attends interdisciplinary team meetings, program, and agency meetings. Responds to emergencies and provides crisis intervention. Provides 24.7 on call support. Performs other related tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of services, benefits, and programs available for clients. Knowledge of principles of behavior and crisis intervention. Knowledge of state and local licensure requirements, Medicaid regulations, confidentiality, and consumer rights. Ability to establish effective working relationships with associates, clients, and the general public.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a Group Home can be substituted for the educational requirement. Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, and at least 1 year of experience providing direct care to individuals with intellectual disability or developmental disability. Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with at least 15 semester credits in a Human Services field, and at least 1 year of experience providing direct care to individuals with intellectual disability or developmental disability. Employment with Encompass Community Supports is contingent upon the successful completion of our background check process (education, criminal, driving, and drug screening.) Must have a valid VA driver's license. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
PREFEREED QUALIFICATIONS
