Program Manager Nexus Community Services Richmond, VA Job Details Full-time $55,000.00 - $62,956.03 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Driver's License Bachelor's degree Quality improvement Human Services Social Work Full Job Description Job Overview The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and oversight of Sponsored Residential program in accordance with Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) regulations, DMAS waiver requirements, and agency policies. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered, and community-integrated services for individuals with developmental disabilities and complex support needs. The Program Manager provides leadership to program staff and Sponsored Residential providers, ensures regulatory compliance, oversees service delivery and documentation, and promotes health, safety, and positive outcomes for individuals served. Program Oversight & Operations Manage the daily operations of Sponsored Residential program. Ensure services are delivered in compliance with DBHDS licensing standards, DMAS waiver requirements, and agency policies. Monitor program performance, service utilization, and outcomes. Develop, implement, and maintain program policies, procedures, and operational workflows. Participate in DBHDS licensing reviews, audits, and corrective action processes. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all services meet medical necessity and level-of-care requirements. Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. Conduct quality assurance reviews and implement performance improvement initiatives. Track incidents, trends, and risk factors and ensure appropriate follow-up and reporting. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including emergency preparedness and risk mitigation. Staff & Provider Supervision Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, including community engagement staff and support coordinators (if applicable). Provide oversight, training, and ongoing support to Sponsored Residential providers, including family providers. Ensure staff and providers meet qualification, training, and competency requirements. Facilitate regular communication, coaching, and performance feedback. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. At least 1 year of supervisory or program management experience. Knowledge of DBHDS regulations and DMAS waiver services, including Sponsored Residential. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
