Location:
Woodstock, VT Full Job Description Summary We are seeking Program Substitutes to support our school‑year programming as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values relationship‑based care, and is looking for flexible, on‑call work in a supportive and thoughtful environment. Substitutes play an important role in maintaining consistency, safety, and emotional support for children when staff are out. We view substitutes as part of our team—not just coverage.
Schedule & Program Details Hours:
As needed during program hours Typical afterschool hours fall between 1:30-5:30
PM Calendar:
Follows the MVSU school calendar
Position Type:

Duties & Responsibilities Supporting children during indoor and outdoor activities Maintaining a safe, engaging, and respectful environment Building positive relationships with children and staff Modeling appropriate and respectful behavior Following established routines and expectations Communicating with program staff as needed Requirements Experience working with children (formal or informal) Genuine enjoyment of and interest in working with preschool children Strong sense of responsibility and ability to supervise children Energy, flexibility, and a positive mindset Willingness to learn and participate Early Education and Safety Training required Must be capable of lifting Comfortable with adverse weather. We spend as much time outside as possible during the school year.

$20.00 per hour
