Job Description
Position Summary This position is responsible for coordinating, implementing and providing A Step Ahead (ASA) program services in alignment with A Step Ahead in Pierce County's goals and objectives. You will be responsible for providing and supporting high-quality service delivery to infants and toddlers who may have developmental delays/differences/disabilities and their caregivers who are a part of the ASA early support services program, as well as supervising a team of ASA service providers. You will work as a Lead alongside transdisciplinary teams to oversee organizational compliance, fidelity to program policy/procedure/guidance, while upholding procedural safeguards and client experience. You will provide services in accordance with your discipline and training specific licensure/certification; ASAPC policy and procedure; Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) policies and guidance; Pierce County contract and technical assistance; and Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act:
Part C. Essential Function and Tasks Provide day-to-day support and supervision to team of ASA (ESS) providers, including performance feedback and evaluation processes. Monitor team caseloads and workload balance including problem resolution related to service delivery challenges. Oversee and implement developmentally appropriate ASA (ESS) activities including direct services, trainings, consultations, outreach activities, etc. Arrange and/or offer discipline-specific guidance and Part C mentoring. Ensure services are delivered consistently with strategies that are family-centered, relationship-based utilizing evidence-based strategies Manage ASA programming, policy/procedure, compliance, and data alongside ASA Manager and other ASA Coordinators/Leads. Participate in agency and contract compliance efforts including audits, observation, monitoring visits, training, and quality reviews as requested. Maintain a reduced caseload, as assigned, to remain connected to families and practice, potentially including evaluations and IFSP participation. Demonstrates sensitivity to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and role differences among persons and families served Serve as a communication bridge between ESS providers and Leadership Team to advocate for their concerns, ideas, and feedback. Participate on Leadership Team to contribute to organizational growth Maintain established work schedule, is punctual, keeps appointments, is willing to adapt schedule to meet unexpected needs and changes, uses time effectively Use independent judgment and discretion in setting daily priorities to complete tasks and meet deadlines Create a unique and positive experience with any interactions on behalf of the agency Present a positive and professional image for the organization Represent the organization's mission and values Manage and maintain accurate and thorough data capturing to maintain compliance via physical and digital filing systems Ensure positive and consistent communication Collaborate with other staff and community partners Work with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensures compliance with privacy policies and regulations Engage and participate in all agency trainings and team events Support in the story telling of our work to community and potential supporters Fully engage and implement given responsibilities included in organization's Fund Development Plan, goals and vision Support in the recruitment and stewardship of organization's donor base and expansion of our mission Participate in agency events, playgroups, and fieldtrips as needed Assist with administrative program tasks as workload capacity fluctuates Qualifications Degree in Education, Therapy, Social Work, Human Services, Public Health or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and/or families. Extensive knowledge of IDEA Part C compliance required. Experience with program management and supervision preferred. Certified, licensed and registered in the State of Washington, as applicable to position. Ability to obtain and maintain ESIT Credential specific to discipline (FRC, DS/DA, or Practitioner). Pass Washington State pre-employment background check, as required. Reliable transportation with valid Driver's License and proof of Auto Insurance via auto insurance declaration/binder. Skills Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and web-based databases. Able to gain proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation. Knowledge and adherence toHIPAA/FERPA
legislation and other patient privacy laws. Detail oriented and able to maintain consistency on repetitive tasks. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Able to collaborate and share responsibilities with projects and tasks. Professional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate and partner with diverse audiences. Able to clearly communicate with children, caregivers, community partners and colleagues. Comfort with public speaking, event facilitation, and representing the organization externally.Pay:
