Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Meal Site Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the senior nutrition program in Dayton, including the congregate meal site and home-delivered Meals on Wheels program. The Voice Care Administrator is responsible for client billing, invoicing, data tracking and any other admin aspect of the Voice Care program.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Dayton Senior Center Meal Site Manager- Coordinate the senior nutrition program, including the congregate meal program and home-delivered Meals on Wheels.
- Develop, coordinate, maintain, and recruit volunteers to ensure needed help is available during congregate dining room and home-delivered meals are delivered safely and in a timely manner.
- Create a welcoming, friendly, and supportive environment for clients, volunteers, and staff.
- Ensure daily meal counts and meal consumption records are completed accurately.
- Complete client intake using the Participant Intake Form and any other required forms.
- Ensure program income is collected, recorded, and deposited according to agency procedures.
- Conduct outreach and marketing efforts to identify and recruit older adults who may benefit from the nutrition program, with an emphasis on reaching those most in need.
- Organize and facilitate periodic Meal Site Advisory Council meetings.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and other agency activities.
- Complete all required reports accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain positive communication and relationships with clients, volunteers, staff, community partners, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Voice Care Administrator
- Manage Voice Care emergency fall-button billing and related administrative responsibilities.
- Work with the Voice Care Coordinator to develop systems and processes that make billing easier and more accessible for clients.
- Prepare and send monthly invoices to Voice Care clients. This requires working with our client data base and to work with spreadsheets to ensure payments are timely and accurate.
- Work with bookkeeper to troubleshoot any payment issues that arise.
- Develop and maintain a Voice Care manual outlining policies, procedures, and processes to support efficient program operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds to counter height, including bulk food items and meals.
- Ability to perform the physical duties necessary to support meal service and program operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must obtain a Washington State Food and Beverage Service Workers Permit.
- Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license and have a vehicle that has the ability to drive from Walla Walla to Dayton approximately twice per week. Mileage will be reimbursed at the agency rate.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with older adults, volunteers, staff, and members of the public.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and complete required work accurately and on time.
