#086-ADM-04-26 State and Federal Programs Coordinator 214 work days per year

DESCRIPTION
The State and Federal Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the organizing and monitoring of State and Federal grants for Wenatchee School District. The Coordinator will collaborate with school district staff and administration, in the management of federal/ special programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare and disseminate information necessary for carrying out programs according to federal and state requirements. Solicit federal funds and participate in grant writing activities to obtain funding for federal/ special programs and services. Monitor the implementation of grant-funded programs, their expenditures and assigned federal programs to ensure compliance with provisions of approved plan and/or grants. Ensure that programs are cost effective and that federal/special programs are managed wisely. Evaluate all federal legislation, projects, and programs for grant, entitlement, and allocation opportunities relevant to the needs of the district. Compile budget and cost estimates based on documented program needs. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required of Federal/State Special Programs. Prepare and submit all mandated program and budget reports, surveys, and applications required by the county, state and federal governments or agencies. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy. Work collaboratively with the Migrant/Bilingual Programs Coordinator, Executive Director of Learning and Teaching and building principals to provide information on grant/ budget compliance, special program student records data and Federal/ State compliance issues. Through the direction of the
Executive Director of Learning and Teaching:
Consult with administrators and other relevant individuals regarding federal/special programs; Assist in providing resources and materials to support staff in accomplishing program goals; And assist with the selection and purchase of supplemental equipment and supplies for the program. As needed participates as a member of the Learning and Teaching Department in the drafting of project proposals and reports, including the writing and development of program goals, objectives, and budget for federal/special funding of programs. Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of special programs personnel and make sound recommendations relative to personnel placement, assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal. Evaluate job performance of special programs department classified employees to ensure effectiveness.
EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree in business administration or other comparable equivalent. Three years experience working in an office setting. Previous management or supervision experience preferred. General knowledge of special programs funding. Experience with data entry devices and computer reporting systems - WSIPC (Skyward) and EGMS. Ability to collaborate with people who have different perspectives. Experience with systems of internal control. Requires prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important in this position.
