Part-Time STI Services Coordinator Job Summary WCS is seeking a Part-Time STI Services Coordinator to provide education, counseling, care coordination, and program support related to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This position serves adults with co-occurring substance use and serious/persistent mental illness in the community, individuals returning to the community from incarceration settings, and others served by WCS. The STI Services Coordinator helps individuals access appropriate STI testing and treatment while providing education, emotional support, harm-reduction services, and assistance with treatment adherence. The position also supports WCS staff through training and consultation and contributes to the administration, compliance, and growth of WCS STI and 340B-related services. The ideal candidate will have experience with STI education, counseling, testing, and/or treatment and be comfortable working with a diverse population in a busy community-based treatment environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide individual and group education and counseling regarding sexual health, STIs, safer-sex practices, harm reduction, condom use, and STI transmission. Provide practical and emotional support to individuals accessing STI testing and treatment, including education regarding test results and treatment plans. Support WCS CSP and TCM staff by providing STI education and counseling, staff training, consultation, and subject-matter expertise. Assist staff with complex STI-related situations and provide guidance as appropriate. Support clinical STI operations, including ordering and stocking supplies and ensuring rooms and facilities are prepared for testing and treatment. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to help ensure individuals receive prescribed STI treatment and appropriate medication-adherence education. Accurately document STI education, counseling, and related services in the electronic health record. Support appropriate recordkeeping and compliance with 340B requirements. Serve on the

compliance committee or similar oversight body. Assist with program development and expansion to increase access to STI services within WCS and the broader community. Collaborate with marketing, communications, fundraising, and other departments to promote STI services and support program funding. Collaborate with finance staff to establish and maintain billing processes for STI counseling and education services. Perform other duties as needed to support the responsibilities of the position. Required Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma and relevant experience in STI services, health education, counseling, or a related area. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field preferred. Experience related to STI education, counseling, testing, and/or treatment preferred. Must meet requirements for a caregiver background check, including no convictions or license revocations that would prevent clearance. Valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical skills, particularly related to mental health and substance use disorders. Knowledge of STIs, transmission, testing, prevention, and treatment. Ability to provide effective education and counseling related to sexual health, harm reduction, and STI prevention. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse participants, staff, and community partners. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques. Cultural sensitivity, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and sound professional judgment. Ability to manage change, think critically, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, computer, and typing skills. Experience using electronic health record systems. Knowledge of 340B requirements preferred, or ability to learn applicable regulations quickly. Strong time-management and multitasking skills. Physical Demands This position is primarily based in an office and treatment setting. The employee must be able to navigate stairs and periodically lift or carry up to 20 pounds to assist participants. Most duties involve sitting at a desk, using a computer, communicating with staff, and meeting with participants.
