Purpose :

Plan, organize, implement and evaluate Program budget, and personnel functions according to the established MARC mission, purpose, values, policies, and procedures. Services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities : Assist individuals supported by MARC in pursuing education, employment, personal skills and goals. Design plans to support individual choices, abilities and needs. Remain flexible and creative in adjusting goals and methods to maximize individual interest and family participation. Maintain health and safety.

Staff:

Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and address employee's performance. Assign duties and responsibilities to staff in a manner suitable to their abilities. Assist staff in developing career paths.

Knowledge & Abilities :

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of developmental disabilities, learning styles, communication methods and devices, personal care, leadership and training skills. Exercise sound judgment to assure safety, health, and welfare. Advocate and promote MARC to new referrals, the general public, media, families, donors and funding sources.

Experience:

Minimum of two years working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related work experience. Minimum of two years supervisory experience. (required)

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or in a related field such as Special Education, Social Services, Behavioral Disabilities, or Rehabilitation Psychology. (desired)
