Senior Service Program Specialist

Job Description

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the programs or technical area, its procedures, policies, and guidelines. Ability to plan, coordinate, organize and utilize electronic database systems. Ability to analyze situations, problems and information and develop appropriate responses and resolutions. Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Must possess excellent organizational skills.
Duties:
Incident Management System (IMS) Monitor This position will monitor an Incident Management System for both Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver and Personal Care programs to ensure that providers comply with reporting and tracking requirements. Incident Monitors will review program incident reports daily to determine if incidents were entered correctly and remind users to enter the follow-up in a timely manner. Ensure providers have entered incident reports for all incidents, including deaths. Also ensure that the appropriate follow-ups have been made , ie, APS, Medicaid Fraud, Law Enforcement, etc. Provide technical assistance regarding incident management to providers. The position will ensure completeness of all investigative reports received from agencies concerning critical, abuse, neglect or exploitation reports. Interface with the Mortality Review Committee when additional information is requested and perform quality functions in general regarding incident management.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Training:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human services field.
Experience:
Two years of full-time experience in a human service field in either Long Term Care (LTC) or protective services.

$40,000-$50,000
