Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, technically sound Project Coordinator to support our Director of Construction in leading and directing the flow of new build and retrofit construction projects within the environmental air space (HVAC/air systems) sector. This is an in-office, local position requiring a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Construction in coordinating and directing the workflow of new build and retrofit construction projects in the environmental air space. Lead and direct the flow of assigned projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring smooth handoffs between teams, trades, and vendors. Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules; proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to meet critical deadlines. Track project and overall budgets; manage expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and help control costs across active jobs. Prepare, maintain, and distribute project documentation, reports, and correspondence using Excel and Word. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are met. Exercise independent judgment and initiative to make day-to-day decisions that keep projects moving forward. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the Director of Construction and other stakeholders in a timely manner. Maintain organized project files, records, and change orders for mid- to large-scale construction jobs. Assist with procurement coordination, permitting tracking, and other administrative functions supporting active job sites. Qualifications 5+ years of experience coordinating mid- to large-scale construction projects, preferably within the environmental air / HVAC space. Technically sound with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; comfortable learning and using project management and scheduling software. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated experience tracking and managing project budgets, controlling expenses, and identifying cost efficiencies. Strong organizational and time-management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and adhering to schedules. Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently and the confidence to make decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in new build and/or retrofit construction environments preferred. Work Environment This is an in-office / local position based at our facility; regular on-site presence is required. May require occasional travel to local job sites to support project oversight.
