Responsibilities Assist in preparing detailed project estimates by analyzing blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements and costs. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate budgets and proposals. Review construction drawings thoroughly to interpret technical details and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Support project managers in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate pricing and resolve issues promptly. Track material costs, manage cost control measures, and update spreadsheets regularly to monitor project financials. Contribute to the review of contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Xactimate. Excellent skills in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans. Solid understanding of construction management software tools and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word). Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and estimating construction project budgets. Effective negotiation skills with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Construction site experience combined with knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and safety protocols is highly desirable.
