Job Description:
The Real Estate Development Project Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering & Permitting, will be responsible for the management of store design and due-diligence of new corporate developments. We currently have over 600 corporate owned locations under the Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers and Brakes Plus brands. This individual will be accountable for the design and development of multiple properties from real estate contract signing to construction start. They will be heavily involved in the hiring of and coordination of architects, civil engineers, geotechnical firms, surveyors, etc. and will be working with municipalities to expedite the permitting process. The Project Manager must be very detailed and schedule conscience. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Reviewing real estate contracts and leases; Set up design and permitting schedule Order and review Phase I & II Environmental assessments Order and review Geotechnical investigations; submit Geotech reports to design team Create due diligence reports and schedules for each project Manage all 3rd party firms to hit required dates Lead the design process to best fit the business, schedule, and budget Submit and expedite all permitting processes Attend and present at Rezoning & SUP public hearings Work with municipalities in initial layouts and design Address problems in a timely, effective, and efficient manner Create and manage an overall project schedule Additional ad hoc requests as necessary
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or Architecture Demonstrated project management while successfully hitting key target dates Ability to use or learn AutoCAD and Revit software Use of project management software Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Construction and design processes Excellent communications skills, both oral and written Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations High level of energy and creativity
