National Project Manager

Whiting Systems, Inc. is the industry leader in manufacturing and maintaining automatic large vehicle wash systems. We specialize in truck washes, train washes, water reclaim systems, demudders, chassis washes, and pressure washers plus we manufacture and distribute our own line of chemicals (soap). The National Project Manager (NPM) is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of large format vehicle wash (e.g truckwash, trainwash) system projects across the United States, supporting both new construction and integration into existing operating facilities. This role owns project performance from sales support and preconstruction through commissioning, turnover, and post-mortem, with direct responsibility for project financial performance including P&L, margins, costs, and change management. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Technical Leadership Lead complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, chemical, controls, civil, and architectural interfaces Manage projects for both greenfield construction and retrofit integration within active facilities Interpret specifications and contracts; develop compliant and value-engineered scopes Coordinate commissioning, testing, punch lists, and final acceptance Financial Ownership & P/L Management Own project-level P&L including budgeting, forecasting, margin, and cost control Manage labor, material, subcontractor, travel, and overhead budgets Evaluate and negotiate change orders to protect profitability Partner with finance and accounting on cost tracking and billing Preconstruction & Sales Support Support sales during pursuit and proposal development Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, and risk assessments Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor CSR (Startup and Training / Finalization of Installation) across system categories Drive coordination across engineering, procurement, and field teams Set project controls, reporting, and performance standards Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as primary client contact. Lead kickoff meetings, reviews, and post-mortem evaluations Coordinate with GCs, trade partners, inspectors, and AHJs Safety, Quality & Compliance Maintain a safety-first culture and

compliance Manage contracts, insurance, quality, and compliance documentation. Required Qualifications Experience 7-10+ years of project management in carwash, truckwash, or MEP-intensive construction Proven full P&L ownership Experience with new construction and live-facility retrofits Financial & Business Skills Strong job costing, margin control, and forecasting skills.
