Northeast Arkansas | Some In-State Travel Required Position Overview Williams Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial projects throughout Northeast Arkansas and other areas of the state as needed. This is a hands-on management position responsible for helping projects stay on schedule, properly staffed and supplied, safe, and operating according to project requirements . The Project Manager will regularly visit job sites, work directly with field crews and General Contractors, coordinate project-specific materials, and help identify and resolve issues before they impact the job. Candidates do not need to have previously held the title of Project Manager but we are looking for someone with 5-10 years of management or field leadership experience , including experience running crews and taking ownership of work in the field. Previous superintendent experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate understands how a successful job site operates, knows how to lead people, communicates effectively with General Contractors and field personnel, and is comfortable being accountable for the performance, safety, and progress of assigned projects. We're a good fit for people who Take ownership of projects and follow through from start to finish Have experience leading crews and managing work in the field Understand the importance of job-site safety and environmental requirements Can hold teams accountable while maintaining strong working relationships Are comfortable communicating with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and field personnel Anticipate material, labor, and scheduling needs before they become problems Are highly organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces Are willing to travel within Arkansas, including some short overnight stays, as project needs require Value safety, accountability, quality, and teamwork Key Responsibilities Manage assigned commercial and industrial projects from planning through completion Regularly visit job sites to monitor progress, quality, safety, and overall project performance Work directly with General Contractors to verify Williams Mechanical Services' work is meeting project expectations from both a timeline and safety perspective Oversee job-site safety and environmental concerns and help ensure company and project requirements are being followed Coordinate with field leadership and crews to keep projects moving efficiently Coordinate the materials, equipment, tools, and supplies required for each individual project Anticipate upcoming material needs and work with vendors and internal personnel to ensure materials arrive when needed Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or conflicts Help coordinate manpower and resources based on project schedules and field needs Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall performance Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and scope of work Communicate project expectations and updates with field crews, General Contractors, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and company leadership Identify and resolve scheduling, safety, material, logistical, and field-related issues Coordinate subcontractors and outside vendors as required Maintain accurate project documentation and records Help ensure work meets project specifications, company standards, and applicable safety requirements Assist with project closeout, punch lists, documentation, and customer turnover Travel to project locations throughout Arkansas as needed Qualifications 5-10 years of management, project management, superintendent, or field leadership experience Demonstrated experience running and managing crews Experience in commercial and/or industrial construction, mechanical services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related trade environment Strong understanding of job-site operations and construction workflow Ability to monitor project schedules and keep work progressing toward established deadlines Understanding of job-site safety requirements and the ability to identify and address safety concerns Experience coordinating project-specific materials, equipment, vendors, and deliveries Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, schedules, and project documentation Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with General Contractors and other project stakeholders Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines Comfortable working in both office and active job-site environments Valid driver's license Ability and willingness to travel within Arkansas as needed Preferred Skills Previous superintendent experience strongly preferred Experience managing commercial and industrial mechanical projects HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical construction background Experience overseeing safety and environmental compliance on active job sites Experience with project estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking Experience coordinating materials and procurement for construction projects Experience working directly with General Contractors, field technicians, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management software What We Offer Performance-driven compensation.
