About Us X Contracting is a fast-growing underground utility construction company specializing in wet and dry utilities, site development, and infrastructure projects throughout Arizona. We are expanding our Underground Utilities division and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and drive performance. Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, execution, and financial performance of underground utility projects. This position requires strong leadership, financial oversight, and schedule control to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Manage utility projects from contract award to close-out
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, and profitability
- Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
- Coordinate with estimating, field operations, vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor schedules and proactively address delays
- Lead meetings and maintain client relationships
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Identify risk and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee project documentation and close-out procedures Qualifications
- 1+ years of project management experience in underground wet or dry utilities construction
- Knowledge of wet and dry utilities, site development, infrastructure projects, and joint trench systems.
- Proficient in project scheduling software and construction management platforms
- Experience managing budgets and cost controls
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to lead field teams and subcontractors What We Offer
