Full Job Description Overview:

The Lighting Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the installation and programming of lighting control systems in residential environments. This role involves collaboration with builders, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of customized lighting solutions that align with client preferences and technical requirements. A successful candidate will be extremely communicative, proactive, and detail oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

Collaborate closely with electricians and contractors to ensure proper wiring and installation of lighting control systems. Plan and schedule project timelines, considering factors such as project complexity, available resources, and homeowner preferences. Provide updated project details to lighting team members and prep product Coordinate with the purchasing manager to procure necessary equipment and materials for the installation.

Communication:

Keep in constant communication with site supervisors, electricians, internal project manager and team members Prepare weekly reports of all work completed per week, submit to AV project managers Prepare daily job task lists for team members to communicate job information and expectations

Quality Assurance:

Maintain regularly scheduled in person documentation checks to verify current status and quality of work Identify and promptly communicate any deviations from plan or errors

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including wiring diagrams, programming configurations, and client preferences. Organize and share all updated documentation with necessary internal and external stakeholders

Schedule Preparation:

Review current job statuses and communicate plans for scheduling needs to project managers and scheduling coordinator Verify job sites prior to scheduling work to verify site readiness Maintain a proactive plan for work to be done to allow for advance scheduling

Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent communication and follow-through skills. Proven experience in managing residential lighting control projects. Proficiency in programming lighting control systems using industry-standard software (Lutron, Control4, Crestron). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, electricians, and team members. In-depth understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and lighting principles. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions. Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in lighting control.
